Tottenham to launch Ivan Perisic bid as Inter Milan make key transfer decision

The Croatia international was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window but a loan switch failed to materialise.

Perisic’s future at the San Siro remains in doubt, however, with a summer departure expected.

Reports in Italy suggest Inter Milan have decided to sell the 30-year-old at the end of the season.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Nerazzurri have already set an asking price worth £30m (€35m).

But the Italian publication claim Spurs are only ready to offer £21.4m (€25m).

Perisic is under contract with Inter Milan until the summer of 2022.

Despite the mid-season turmoil about a move to Arsenal, he has remained a consistent figure in the team.

Perisic has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 35 appearances this term.

Tottenham infamously failed to make a single signing in this season’s two transfer windows.

Despite the lack of arrivals, Mauricio Pochettino has steered the club into the Champions League quarter-finals while they currently sit third in the Premier League.

Spurs are back in action on Sunday against Liverpool at Anfield (4.30pm).
